Improvements to floorstand cut packaging
The Tork Performance floorstand for disposable wipers has been re-engineered to reduce the size of the transit pack and make it easier to assemble than ever.
The move has reduced the packaging of the unit by 50 per cent, says product and segment manager Mark Riley.
“The original carton for the floorstand was very large and unwieldy but we have re-engineered the floorstand itself to allow us to dramatically reduce the carton size,” he said.
“This move has actually made the floorstand easier to put together while the reduction in packaging is a huge sustainability advantage. We can now fit 50 per cent more units on to a pallet which will greatly help to reduce emissions on the roads.”
The Tork Performance W1 floorstand is a high-capacity system for Tork disposable wipers that can be easily moved around the workshop on sturdy wheels. The spring-loaded spindle allows a giant wiper roll to be changed within seconds, while the glass fibre teeth allows paper to be torn off safely and reliably.
“The improvements to the unit will make it even more attractive to customers since they will be buying an easier-to-assemble unit while potentially paying less for waste disposal costs,” said Mark.
The Tork Performance floorstand forms part of a cohesive range of Tork Performance dispensers for workplace wipers. All units are made from durable ABS plastic and coated steel and have been engineered to be long-lasting and durable for maximum sustainability.
Tork Performance dispensers are available in a choice of colours; red/smoke housings for production and engineering environments and white/turquoise for hygiene-critical environments such as food, healthcare and catering.
