SCA in FTSE4Good Global Sustainability Index 2010
SCA has been listed in the 2010 FTSE4Good global sustainability market index for the ninth consecutive year.
The index measures the performance of companies that meet globally-recognised corporate responsibility standards.
“There is an increase in sustainable investments in Europe and we are pleased that SCA has qualified for the FTSE4Good Global Sustainability Index 2010," says Patrik Isaksson, vice-president environmental affairs at SCA's head office in Stockholm.
The FTSE4Good index is managed jointly by the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Times, rating companies on their social and environmental performance. It has been designed to facilitate investment in those companies that meet globally-recognised standards of corporate responsibility.
This is the latest in a list of sustainability accreditations for SCA. In January the organisation appeared in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations list for the sixth year running.
And in April, SCA was named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute in New York for the third year in a row.
