SCA is a corporate member of BICSc
SCA has become a corporate member of the highly respected British Institute of Cleaning Science.
The Institute, which has its headquarters in Northampton, is the largest independent professional and educational body within the cleaning industry.
SCA signed up with BICSc earlier this year. “The reason we joined is that we fully support the work BICSc is carrying out to improve standards in the cleaning industry,” said SCA product and segment manager Charlotte Branwhite.
“We also understand that in the cleaning industry, time is literally money and that labour represents 70 per cent of the cost of a cleaning contract. Since Tork systems are designed to save time they fit in well with the objectives that BICSc is trying to achieve.
“This is the first time that SCA has joined forces with the BICSc – and we are sure the tie-up will be invaluable.”
BICSc has almost 5,000 individual and corporate members both in the UK and abroad. The association’s mission is “the raising of status and standards of the cleaning industry, through education”.
Membership is made up of local authorities, contract cleaners, manufacturers, suppliers, trainers and cleaning operatives. Founded in 1961, BICSc celebrates its Golden Jubilee later this month at an awards dinner and banquet at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club in the Midlands.
