Tork Premium 570 on show at Safety & Health Expo
Tork hosted a busy stand at this year’s Safety & Health Expo event and introduced Tork Premium 570 to UK customers for the first time.
Tork Premium 570, the company’s toughest non-woven wiper, can be used for the most demanding of tasks and in the harshest of environments.
“The exhibition was a great success,” said SCA product and segment manager Mark Riley. “Visitor numbers were higher than expected and we took some significant inquiries including HM Prison Service and a major chemical manufacturer.
“The Tork Performance W4 wall-mounted system attracted much interest and we gave away samples of Tork Premium Multipurpose 500 wipers.”
Besides Tork Premium 570, other products highlighted on the stand were Tork Premium 530 for tough wiping and cleaning tasks, and Tork Advanced 420 which has been proven to be 36 per cent more absorbent than traditional paper wipers.
Live demos showing the effectiveness of all three wipers were carried out on the stand. “In one demo we showed how effective both Tork Premium 530 and Tork Premium 570 cloths were when wiping up oil and grease when compared to traditional rags,” said Mark.
“Another demo showed the absorbency of Tork Advanced 420 compared with a standard competitor wiper. Tork Advanced 420 soaked up 300ml of water using 20 sheets of product – while only 60 per cent of the volume of water was soaked up using the same number of sheets of the competitor’s wiper.”
This is the first time that SCA has exhibited at Safety & Health Expo. The show, which is an annual event aimed at health and safety professionals and production managers, was held at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham.
