Tork napkins used in major retail chains
Three major UK retail chains are now using Tork interfold napkin dispensers throughout their networks.
The household name chains – who declined to be named – are using Tork interfold napkin dispensers in front-of-house coffee shops; staff canteens and as part of their “food to go” offering.
“An increasing number of retail chains offering food service or food to go are getting wise to the savings they can make with the Tork interfold napkin dispenser,” said SCA product and segment manager Julie Ray. “The system allows them to cut napkin consumption by at least 25 per cent, which saves them money while also providing a sustainability benefit.”
Tork interfold napkin dispensers are designed to give out napkins one at a time instead of in clumps, a problem that can occur with traditional napkin dispensers. This means that consumption and waste are reduced when using the Tork system and there is less mess on the floor in the form of discarded napkins.
“The fact that fewer napkins are used also means that less storage space is required in the chain stores, since fewer napkins need to be ordered in,” said Julie.
All Tork interfold dispenser napkins hold the EU Ecolabel and are food contact approved. The dispensers, which are available in black and light grey plastic or aluminium, are hygienic, easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
All plastic dispensers for Tork napkins are available under the Tork Keycare scheme, which provides eligible customers with dispensers free on loan.
