Tork soap now listed by NHS Supply Chain
Tork Premium Extra Mild Soap plus two Tork hand lotion products have now been included in the NHS Supply Chain catalogue.
This means that together with the wide range of Tork hand towels, toilet tissue and facial tissue products listed with the NHS Supply Chain, SCA now provides NHS hospitals with a comprehensive hygiene solution.
Tork Premium Extra Mild Liquid Soap is ideal for medical and care settings since it can be used on frequently-washed or sanitised hands without causing an allergic reaction. It is perfume and colour-free and comes in a soap cartridge that is completely sealed to protect the soap from contamination.
SCA NHS account manager Paula Howard said: “This is the first time we have submitted a soap product for NHS listing and we were successful at the first attempt. Tork Premium Extra Mild Liquid Soap will begin appearing in NHS hospitals from April.”
One key reason why Tork Premium Extra Mild Liquid was listed is because it offers the best value per 100ml, says Paula.
“This is crucial since the NHS uses more soap than any other organisation within the UK,” she said. “The nurses alone wash their hands between 15 and 20 times per shift.”
Also newly listed by the NHS Supply Chain is Tork Premium Hand Lotion which is available in a 475ml bottle and a new 50ml personal issue bottle. The addition of the new products means that Tork can now supply a complete range of washroom products to the NHS in matching dispensers.
"All Tork soap, hand towel and toilet tissue products are housed in award-winning Tork Elevation dispensers to create a professional, hygienic image,” said Paula. Tork also supplies the NHS with a range of hand towels including Tork Advanced Zigzag Fold, the leading hand towel in use within the NHS.
