Announcing new Tork Compact Auto Shift
A unique toilet tissue system designed to improve hygiene and prevent problems such as paper running out, pilferage and mess has been launched by Tork.
The Tork Compact Auto Shift is an ideal solution for medium to high traffic washrooms where a long-lasting, space-saving solution is required. The system offers more than 50 per cent savings on storage space and transport costs over conventional toilet rolls, which is an added environmental benefit.
“The Tork Compact Auto Shift helps to prevent problems such as the inconvenience of paper running out while also improving washroom maintenance routines and saving time and money,” said SCA Tissue Europe product and market manager Charlotte Branwhite.
The dispenser holds two tightly-wound 100 metre rolls of Tork Premium 2-ply toilet paper, which together represent the equivalent of around eight conventional toilet rolls. When the first roll has been used up, the second roll automatically shifts down into position ready for use. The empty core is collected inside the dispenser ensuring that no waste litters the floor.
The janitor then drops a new roll into the top of the dispenser during the next maintenance check.
Enclosed inside the dispenser
The fact that the paper is enclosed inside the dispenser means that washroom visitors only touch the paper they use, which is a hygiene benefit. Unlike conventional toilet rolls the paper is also protected from contamination in the atmosphere.
“Besides its simplicity and convenience, the Tork Compact Auto Shift also reduces storage space and transport costs because the hard-wound rolls provide more than double the meterage of conventional rolls,” said Charlotte. “This in turn reduces the system’s overall impact on the environment.
