SCA highly placed in Amnesty survey
SCA has been highly placed in a survey on Swedish companies and human rights.
SCA, already named the world's second greenest company by The Independent and EIRIS, has now performed well in a poll by Amnesty Business Group, part of Amnesty International in Sweden.
The survey rates the extent to which Swedish companies are exposed to the risk of violating human rights and how well equipped they are to meet that risk. This year SCA stands out as the company with the lowest risk in its category.
“We are really pleased about placing well in this survey. It shows that although we have a fairly high risk exposure, we are managing the risks adequately throughout the SCA Group – thanks to the constant efforts by the Business Groups around Code of Conduct Compliance,” says Yogi Pillay, director of corporate social responsibility programmes at SCA’s head office in Stockholm.
A total of 127 Swedish listed companies with a market value exceeding SEK 3 billion and unlisted companies with sales exceeding SEK 10 billion were interviewed by Prospera Research AB.
Results show that SCA is performing extremely well in the raw materials category in comparison with other companies in this category.
