SCA moves to new head offices
SCA’s group head office has moved to one of Sweden’s most environmentally-sound buildings.
The company’s Stockholm headquarters is now situated on the top floors of the Waterfront Building, a new landmark near the city’s central station.
“The Waterfront Building fills a number of requirements for the environmentally-sound workplace of the future,” said SCA's head of human resources Gordana Landén. “This, together with the cost aspect, has been important for our decision to move.”
The Waterfront Building is located next to Stockholm’s Lake Klara whose waters are used for cooling the property. The complex has a double-pane façade that functions as a solar collector and water and ice are being used to store energy.
A fully acceptable environmental solution
“Our goal has been to create a work environment with simpler communications between different departments at the head office,” said Gordana. “Major emphasis was placed on closely-combined premises and a fully acceptable environmental solution.”
Around 100 members of SCA's staff will work at the new offices. The new address is: Klarabergsviadukten 63, 111 64 Stockholm.
