Tork Elevation dispensers win second design award
Tork Elevation washroom dispensers have won their second design award in the space of two months.
Following the announcement in February that the new dispensers had won an iF design award, Tork Elevation has now received a prestigious Red Dot product design award in Essen, Germany.
“We are delighted to receive this second accolade,” said SCA Tissue Europe product and market manager Charlotte Branwhite. “The fact that two design organisations have singled us out just goes to show how well designed Tork Elevation dispensers actually are.”
The dispensers were created by international designer Thomas Meyerhoffer whose brief was to come up with a seamless, aesthetically-pleasing unit that kept functionality, design and concern for the environment firmly in mind.
Recognised by two global arbiters
Tork Elevation was one of a number of Red Dot product design award-winners chosen from a total of 3,231 entries. Other 2009 winners included household names such as Sony, Bosch and Siemens.
“The fact that Tork Elevation has now been recognised by two global arbiters of outstanding design is a great achievement and one of which we are very proud,” said Charlotte.
Tork Elevation dispensers will now be exhibited for 12 months at the Red Dot design museum in Essen, Germany.
