Tork Elevation wins design award
The new Tork Elevation washroom dispenser range has won a prestigious iF product design award.
Contenders for the awards, which are presented annually in Germany by the iF International Forum Design, are assessed on various criteria including functionality, design quality, degree of innovation and environmental friendliness.
“We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award,” said SCA Tissue Europe’s UK & Ireland marketing director Jenny Turner. “The fact that iF is an internationally recognised trademark for outstanding design makes this a great achievement, and one of which we are very proud.”
The Tork Elevation range was created by international designer Thomas Meyerhoffer whose brief was to use functional design to make the dispensers both user-friendly and visually pleasing.
Dispensers have an attractive, seamless design
The dispensers feature a large, semi-transparent window that provides an attractive, seamless design while allowing the facilities manager to tell at a glance when they need refilling.
The larger dispensers feature built-in spirit-levels to make them easier to mount, while a dual-setting lock allows the janitor to choose to open the dispensers either with a key or push-button.
Tork Elevation dispensers may now go on to win a coveted iF Gold Award, which will be presented to the top 50 2009 iF award winners. Gold Award winners will be announced on March 3 at an official presentation ceremony.
