Tork equips Sweden’s most modern sports stadium
Tork has won the contract to supply the washrooms of the Swedbank Stadium in Sweden with Tork Elevation dispensers and bins.
SCA beat off competition from several leading suppliers to win the prestigious contract at the Malmö stadium, which opened in April 2009.
The stadium’s 450 toilets and urinals have been equipped with white
Tork Elevation dispensers containing mini jumbo toilet rolls, Tork Premium liquid soap and Tork zigzag fold hand towels.
SCA won the contract because the stadium’s washrooms needed to be supplied with durable and functional products capable of withstanding heavy wear while also being aesthetically pleasing. Tork met all the criteria.
Swedbank Stadium is Sweden’s most state-of-the-art sports venue and hosts Malmö FF’s home football matches. It holds 24,000 spectators, and can also accommodate conferences and other events. The facility, built to replace the old Malmö stadium which opened in 1958, hosted the finals of the 2009 UEFA Under-21 Championships.
The new Swedbank Stadium features a natural grass court, giant TV screens, a shop, restaurants, kiosks and the flagship 1910 restaurant.
Named after the year in which Malmö FF was founded, the restaurant accommodates 2,000 diners and is a rallying point where spectators can eat before watching the game.
